Hats & Scarves Winter Outreach

As the temperatures drop, Feeding the Spirit is once again working to bring warmth and kindness to our neighbors in need.

Over the past year, with the support of our amazing community, we’ve helped break barriers of food insecurity and homelessness. But the need continues to grow — and we’re asking for your help.

Each year, volunteers collect and distribute hundreds of hats, scarves, and gloves throughout downtown Greensburg and the surrounding area — free for anyone to take. This year’s Hats and Scarves event will continue that tradition of compassion and community care.

Here’s how you can help:
 Donate new or gently-used hats, scarves, and gloves for men, women, and children. (WE ARE IN SPECIFIC NEED OF MITTENS AND GLOVES)
 Please place items in labeled Ziplock bags (e.g. “Adult Male,” “Child,” etc.). A typical bag might include one hat, one scarf, and a pair of gloves.
 You can donate full sets or individual items — we’ll match them up!
 Volunteer to help us distribute bags throughout Greensburg on Saturday, November 15, meeting at 9:15 AM at the YWCA.
